AVVie focuses on developing innovative solutions for patients with mitral valve regurgitation, a condition affecting over 13 million people in Europe and the US. Our flagship product, the Mitral Butterfly (MB) system, is a hemi valve designed to replace the posterior leaflet of the mitral valve, restoring its functionality. The MB system uses a nitinol-based frame and a pericardial membrane to prevent unphysiological inflow and minimize outflow obstruction. It can be delivered through minimally invasive surgery or transseptal delivery. AVVie is dedicated to improving the treatment for patients suffering from heart failure due to mitral valve regurgitation.
