Job Title: New Accounts Representative Department: Operations Reports To: New Accounts Manager/Branch Manager SUMMARY Opens accounts, explains and processes deposits and other financial services. Promotes bank products and services as well as assisting customers with account services and maintenance and reconciliation and disputes. Performs elevated teller support and e-banking functions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist Customers with personal account reconciliations and provide document copies as requested. Process customer check reorder requests Develop working knowledge of customer account change and closing maintenance Develop working knowledge of opening new customer deposit accounts Initiate customer dispute claims including Electronic Funds Act (Reg E) claims Assist with customer disputes including ACH disputes, indemnity agreement, and forgery affidavit forms Prepare and document account information obtained from customers and enter info into a database. Present funds received from customer to Teller for deposit and obtain receipt for customer on new account openings. Investigate and correct errors on ATM & Debit card transactions. Provide customer support on Internet Banking including password generation and resets/assisting with registration and app installations. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School education or GED/college beneficial Knowledge of banking terminology Basic understanding of financial reports Must be able to do extensive research, prepare reports and think critically Attention to detail, accuracy and follow-through Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize
