The Australian Financial Review is seeking four trainees for our Sydney or Melbourne newsrooms. The traineeship program is a rare opportunity for aspiring reporters to learn the craft alongside award-winning journalists and editors.
Day to day you will:
To be successful, you will be passionate about contributing to The Australian Financial Review and excited about a career in journalism.
You must have excellent writing and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of news and current affairs, and a curiosity about business, the economy, people and issues. You must also be a hard worker, a keen learner and have strong critical thinking skills.
These positions are 12-month fixed-term contracts with the potential to secure a permanent role at the end of the contract. The traineeships are full-time rostered positions and could involve shift work, including weekends.
