Data Analyst

Our platform simplifies taxes, accounting, and financial administration for the self-employed - and we're even expanding into banking. With a proven product and a growing customer base, we are now looking for a Data Analyst to drive data-driven decision making.

About the role

As a data analyst, you will play a critical role in optimising conversion to paid, ARPA, and monetisation strategies by running deep analyses, translating complex data into actionable recommendations and driving experimentation. Additionally, you will support our Performance Marketing team by identifying patterns, improving marketing efficiency, and helping optimise our key metrics.

Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Experimentation (80%)

• Analyse conversion funnels, pricing models, and customer behaviour to proactively identify revenue growth opportunities.


• Identify friction points in the user journey and recommend data-backed optimisations.


• Oversee tracking of key revenue metrics, including Conversion to paid, ARPA, cost of acquisition (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), Churn, and Retention in the company.


• Build dashboards and visualisations to provide real-time insights to the company.


• Take part in the Revenue Growth meeting, to come up with and implement data-driven growth experiments.


• Support A/B testing and experimentation within the company, ensuring statistical analysis of results.

Performance Marketing Support (20%)

• Identify patterns in user acquisition that can help optimise performance marketing campaigns.


• Analyse and recommend levers to improve LTV & CAC.


• Work with the Performance Marketing team to refine audience targeting and budget allocation.


• Help the Content Marketing Team with data requests to enrich their content operations.

A quick word about data infrastructure

At Accountable, data is currently hosted in different services:

• Our own database & its analytical datalake


• Amplitude (user in-app events & visualization)


• Intercom (CRM)


• BigQuery (ETL engine)


• Gsheet & Looker (visualization)

It will be expected of you that you can retrieve, combine & analyze data from those different sources to come up with the relevant insights.

We are constantly looking at ways to do things better and will likely, thanks to your help, improve this infrastructure.

Who you are

• Data-driven problem solver

Using programs such as Amplitude and Spreadsheets, you can turn raw data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.

• Growth & experimentation mindset

You understand A/B testing, conversion optimisation, and monetisation strategies.

• Business & product sense

You have great intuition when it comes to building product & having a meaningful impact for the company/our users.

• Technical skills

Proficiently in basic programming (Python)

• Proactive & collaborative

You take ownership, work independently, and thrive in cross-functional teams.

• Bonus: marketing analytics experience

You understand digital marketing metrics, CAC/LTV, and how to optimise acquisition strategies.

Requirements

• Based in Berlin


• Fluent in German


• A university degree in Data Analysis or a related field is preferred


• Min. 3 years of experience in Data Analytics
