As HR Director, you shape how Arval Belgium attracts, develops, and retains the people we need to deliver today and grow tomorrow.

You challenge the status quo, connect people strategy to business strategy, and turn future needs into present action. You lead by listening, anticipating, and making things happen.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You lead the full HR agenda for Arval Belgium, across four key areas:

  • HR strategy & business partnering – Be the sparring partner of choice for our leaders
  • Talent & leadership – Drive development, engagement, and succession strategies
  • Workforce & skills planning – Align current and future skills with business priorities
  • People insights & benchmarks – Use internal and market data to guide decisions
  • You also steer transversal topics such as wellbeing, mobility, events and employer branding
  • You champion local DE&I initiatives
  • You manage a team of 7 composed of HRBP’s, Recruiters, Compensation and Benefits Specialists as well as L&D expert

What You’ll Do

  • Understand the business and translate challenges into people solutions
  • Anticipate future skills and build clear, actionable workforce plans
  • Define and lead strategic HR initiatives with real business impact
  • Use benchmarks, data and market trends to guide our people priorities
  • Bring a strong business mindset to budget discussions and resource planning
  • Facilitate collaboration between HR teams, managers, and employees
  • Ensure alignment across the HR team on shared goals and roles
  • Inspire, coach, and mobilise teams across all levels of the organisation
  • Be an active member of the Regional Benelux DACH region
  • Strengthen our reputation as a caring, ambitious, and future-ready employer

Your Skills & Expertise

  • A degree in business, human resources, psychology or equivalent by experience
  • 10 years’ experience in a leadership role within human resources
  • Proven track record working in matrix environments within an internation context
  • Solid knowledge of human resources;project management, change management, and process optimisation
  • Strong people management skills
  • Analytical mindset with strong organisational and conceptual thinking
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English, French and/or Dutch is a plus
  • Experience within financial services is an advantage
