The Product Owner owns, maintains, and prioritizes the product backlog aligned with the companies' global priorities to ensure the commercial strategy of a given product, ensuring to have proper specifications, validating the priorities of the development and validating the development on the production environment. Shares the product vision and works closely with the Product Management Office (PMO) to ensure the managed team/s delivers value to the business in quality.

Ownership/Accountability/Responsibility

  • Owner of the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap
  • Accountable for the management and prioritization of the backlog, keeping it clean and properly prioritizing based on global priorities, impact, resources, business strategy and dependencies
  • Responsible of the global product strategy by developing business roadmap, defining the goals and vision ensuring the product's growth and success
  • Representing both the stakeholders and the business within the dedicated team, managing communication and expectations
  • Defining key features of the product documented & the criteria of its success
  • Ensuring the product reaches the set milestones/goals with timely deliveries of expected product increments
  • Constantly following our competitors and the industry to find feature gaps and propose solutions
  • Actively participating in Product Backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, and project team’s release planning sessions
  • Providing validated requirements as well as all the required information to make proper development (including designs, test-cases, acceptance criteria etc.)
  • Collaborating actively with UX, Analytics, SEO and BigData to reach a customer-centric approach and propose strategic business decisions based on data analysis and interpretation
  • Collaborating actively with the IT Project Manager (PM) to facilitate work across teams to deliver initiatives on time
  • Ensuring effective SDLC execution working closely with PMs, EMs, LDs, BAs, UI/UX, as well as all other business departments (i.e. finance, legal, risk, anti-fraud, compliance, etc.)
  • Creating and updating release plans and defining release dates and content alongside the PM

Backlog management and prioritization

  • Keeping a clean, well structured and groomed backlog to ensure it's ready for prioritization
  • Ensuring development ticket statuses are up-to-date and audit ticks are given in due time
  • Right prioritization based on global priorities and impact and resources
  • Keeping the previously defined ETA(s) and effectively updating where needed
  • Support teams in regards of all specifications and priority management
  • Effective scope change handling

Product Roadmap

  • Maintaining clear and keep up-to-date roadmap on Jira
  • Transmitting the product vision on initiative level with whys to align the team/s towards it
  • Communicating effectively with team/s members to achieve project goals
  • Ensuring timely and accurate pre-release/release communication and release info update on intranet
  • Handling external requests effectively

Product & Process knowledge

  • Applying SDLC process efficiently
  • Having general knowledge on all portfolio products to identify dependencies across products
  • Working closely with the team/s throughout the preparation/development process
  • Validating the development/product increment on the production environment

Data driven approach

  • Making strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation with close collaboration with UX, Analytics, SEO and Bigdata to reach the customer-centric approach
  • Requesting specific KPI dashboards/reports, analyzing insights and nurturing ideas/solutions to existing customer problems
  • Ensuring the necessary data tracking events implemented in order to make data/metric driven product decisions/proposals

Industry knowledge

  • Knowing and monitoring competitors and market
  • Proposing new product development ideas from market
  • Testing competitor sites actively to find the feature gap and proposes solutions

Product health

  • Proactively ensuring product health (i.e. bugs) by subscribing to different alerting systems and testing, escalating in case of not available resources to restore the health
  • Ensuring the allocation of necessary amount of bugs to each sprint/cycle without endangering the global priorities
  • Any other tasks assigned in line with the employee's competencies defined by the line manager or the management of the company

Support PMO

  • Processes' setup/maintenance/improvement proposals
  • Part of the companies' HoP/PO community and animates it

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role in product management
  • Knowledge of software development and web technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Strong presentation and good negotiation skills
  • Team spirit and outstanding verbal and written communication abilities
  • In-depth understanding of industry market conditions and trends
  • Passion for improving consumer experiences using technology
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organizational skills
