Junior Investment Analyst

Eneco Wind Belgium SA (EWB) is part of the Eneco group since 2008. Eneco is a leading player in the renewable energies sector and aims to be carbon-free in 2035. We develop, build and operate wind farms offshore and onshore.

As part of the Finance team, the Junior Investment Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the financial and strategic planning of renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on wind energy. You will have a coordinating role in ensuring that financial information remains sound along their whole lifecycle and that the hypotheses you use rely on solid data. You will report to the Senior Investment Analyst and work in close collaboration with the development teams and the other members of the Finance team.

• Update the Master business plan to ensure alignment with the highest quality standards and renewable energy sector developments.
• Provide regular structured updates on key financial metrics and updated assumptions in collaboration with Finance team.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process for projects in the pipeline.
• Support Development and Construction team in the crafting of detailed business plans and provide regular updates to ensure projects stay on track until realization.
• Assist in preparing the documents to be presented at decision gates for investment decisions.
• Launch post-investment analysis to evaluate the outcomes of investments, comparing assumptions to actual performance.
• Conduct and support financial analysis exercises on a variety of topics related to the operation of wind farms.
• Work closely with regional entities and local business partnerships in Wallonia and Flanders to advance renewable initiatives.
• Stay updated on new financial mechanisms and subsidy programs to secure funding and ensure project viability.
• Support the development of pricing structures for our assets through (Corporate) Power Purchase Agreements.
• Although you will be working mainly from our offices in Wavre, you will be working from Mechelen once a week

• Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, investment analysis, or a related role.

• Experience in the energy sector or a capital-intensive industry is a plus.

• Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office suite and especially Excel. Basic knowledge of programming languages (VBA, R, Python) is a plus.

• Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English.
