WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Sales Department primary responsibility is to promote, develop and sell OLON biological services in Europe and expand our client base while fostering strong client relationships.
We are looking for an exceptionally talented, bright and results-driven individual to join our Sales team as a Business Development Manager in support of the GTP Bioways France Organization, recently incorporated in Olon Group, with major location based in Toulouse and with functional reporting line to the Sales Director GTP.
The ideal candidate must have an existing pharmaceutical client relationship portfolio in biological field (START- UPS, middle, large Pharma companies).
Acting as a liaison between clients and GTP Bioways Business Management and Operations teams located in France. Essential to the role is the ability to identify, prospect and develop a new client base within the Biologic segment. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
The primary emphasis of this role will be to identify and develop new biologic business by utilizing tactical, strategic and consultative selling approaches.
The primary measure of the success in this role will be the achievement of annual sales targets.
THE ACTIVITIES IN WHICH YOU WILL BE ACTIVELY INVOLVED WILL BE:
The BD manager will conduct face-to-face client visits/meetings and/or teleconferences on a regular basis, document the substance of the meetings and will be accountable for proper follow-up and action plans to address the opportunity.
The emphasis will be to engage existing and prospective clients through interactions with a heightened emphasis on new, prospective client engagement. Teleconferences will be used as a means to qualify opportunities, introduce operational subject experts, probe for potential synergies and engage in a consultative selling approach.
Additionally, these meetings provide follow-ups on existing or pending projects, and interface with remote/virtual clients where interactions are limited. The ultimate goal of these client interactions is to drive incremental sales and to support existing business, especially in the face of enhanced competition.
Responsiveness and reliability will be the watchword of the BD manager. This will include timely communications with clients (call-backs within one business day) and a sense of urgency around RFPs/RFIs, proposals, scope of work forms, scope change orders, CDA’s, MSA’s, conference calls and maintaining sufficient customer intimacy.
The BD manager will be the primary and active interface between the clients, the business management sponsor who will drive operations in Europe. The BD manager will receive the support of inside technical and operational staff and business management to help support their efforts in the field.
The BD manager will participate in national and international sales events on a regular basis as determined by Biotech Business Management. The BD manager will be encouraged to seek leadership opportunities in local trade groups/associations.
