Position Overview:
The Senior Business Development Manager plays a critical role in driving strategic growth and expanding the company’s market presence across key verticals. This seasoned professional will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating high-value client relationships, and delivering bespoke supply chain solutions that align with client-specific requirements. Operating at both a strategic and tactical level, the Senior Business Development Manager will work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure the successful acquisition and onboarding of new clients, while maintaining a strong focus on innovation, quality, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities with global OEMs and key industry players within the high-tech and med-tech sectors.
- Develop and execute a strategic business development plan that aligns with the company’s growth objectives and market focus.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor on supply chain optimization strategies.
- Lead the development of customized proposals and solutions in collaboration with operations, engineering, and commercial teams.
- Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for expansion.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
- Drive end-to-end sales cycle management, from lead qualification and contract negotiation to deal closure and handover to account management teams.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of new business, delivering an exceptional client experience from day one.
- Report on pipeline development, key metrics, and forecasts to senior leadership, contributing to data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management—preferably within the high-tech, med-tech, or supply chain/logistics sectors.
- Proven track record of winning and managing large, complex deals with multinational clients.
- Strong understanding of integrated supply chain services, including warehousing, distribution, reverse logistics, and value-added services.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch or other European languages is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
