About the Role

The role represents excellent opportunity for a lawyer to join our highly collegiate Corporate team and make a significant contribution to our growing practice. Maintaining our reputation for excellence, the successful candidate will be commercially astute, demonstrate excellent technical skills and be committed to building and developing a successful career within a collaborative and dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Advising clients on a wide range of corporate legal matters
  • Ability to assist in the structuring, negotiation, drafting and execution of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions
  • Maintaining and developing client relationships by providing high-quality legal advice and support on various corporate matters
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on complex corporate issues to support client needs and internal projects within the law firm
  • Working collaboratively with other members of the Corporate Team and across different practice areas of the firm and the Maples Group to deliver comprehensive legal solutions


EXPERIENCE


What You Bring

Applicants should have highly relevant experience in general corporate matters and be looking for long-term career with the Maples Group. Candidates must have 2 - 3 years relevant post qualification experience with a leading law firm in a major onshore or offshore jurisdiction. In addition, the successful candidate's qualification and experience should include:


  • Experience in handling high-value corporate/M&A transactions
  • Admission to the Luxembourg Bar or are eligible to be registered on List IV of the Luxembourg Bar
  • It is essential that you have a strong academic background, with excellent written and verbal communication and drafting skills
  • Outstanding technical skills, together with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues, and work well in a team environment
  • Bilingual with English and French. Proficiency in German would be advantageous but not essential
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs
  • You must be eligible to work within Luxembourg


This post requires significant attention to detail, professionalism, ability to multi-task, and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communications skills. In addition, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to internal policies and procedures.
