To reinforce our Team in Andenne, we are looking for an :

R&D lab expert Sourdough

The R&D Lab Expert Sourdough oversees the research and development operations within our laboratory. He/she ensures the design, execution, and analysis of fermentation tests, as well as conducting physico-chemical, microbiological, and sensory analyses.

Your responsibilities:

• New Product Development
• Design and develop experimental plans.
• Execute fermentation tests and perform required analyses.
• Analyze test results and draft detailed reports.
• Define quality control methods and product specifications.
• Process Improvement
• Support the R&D Process Improvement Manager in enhancing processes and products.
• Execute fermentation tests to improve existing products and processes.
• Analyze test results and draft detailed reports.
• Stability Testing
• Conduct stability tests to determine product shelf life.
• Analyze test results and draft shelf-life reports.
• Sample Preparation
• Prepare raw materials, packaging, and necessary equipment.
• Produce and analyze samples.
• Send samples for internal and external requests.
• Baking Tests
• Conduct baking tests to evaluate product quality and performance.
• Maintain the bakery, including organization, cleanliness, and management of raw materials and equipment.
• Lab Management
• Actively participate in the smooth operation of the laboratory: supply ordering, organization, stock management.
• Define CAPEX and budget needs, prepare offers, and track investments.
• Manage interns under their responsibility: recruitment, administrative tasks, follow-up, and support.
  

Your profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of prior laboratory experience, preferably in the bakery or fermentation field.
• Strong data analysis and report writing skills.
• Attention to detail and precision in task execution.
• Basic proficiency in English.
