Department Description

The Compliance Department ensures that the Bank adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. It plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating compliance risks across the business.

Purpose of Role

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversight onboarding and KYC.
• Oversight of loan portfolio (mostly Netherlands, France).
• Oversight of deposit portfolio.
• Ensure that all compliance risks are thoroughly reviewed and accurately assessed by the Credit Committee.
• Ensure all deals are correctly assessed at Credit Committee.
• Correspondence with external counterparties.
• Investigation of discrepancies and related follow-up actions.
• Reconciliation of bank accounts movements and balances.
• Stakeholder reporting.
• Prepare board and executive level presentations to guide business strategy decision making and reporting
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• 5 years of back office, loan administration experience or Compliance in a bank.
• Good knowledge of loans.
• Skills in loan document inventory management and record keeping.
• Strong IT and systems skills (Excel proficiency, loan management systems, electronic banking systems).
• High attention to detail, controls and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt and work quickly and accurately under pressure to meet required deadlines.
• Strong problem solving and analysis skills, combined with effective judgment and communicationskills.
• Team player with good relationship building skills. The position requires continuous interaction with other internal departments and external partners.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English and French, Dutch or Spanish would be an advantage.
