As a Financial Controller, you are responsible for monitoring, controlling, and analyzing the financial position of various Storm companies. You play an important role in financial reporting and budgeting and work closely with the CFO, the finance team, and the various business units.

What are your responsibilities?
Financial Reporting and Analysis: You closely monitor balances, income statements, and cash flows and ensure accurate financial reporting. You prepare budgets and cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the business. You prepare closures (monthly, quarterly, yearly) and create clear reports for banks, investors, and shareholders. Financial analyses and possible support in due diligence processes are also part of your tasks.
Closures & Financial Planning: You take an active role in periodic and annual closures, including reconciliations and intercompany transactions. You analyze financial results and make proactive improvement proposals. Additionally, you manage liquidity flows and financial planning in the short and long term.
Audit & Compliance: You coordinate external audits and ensure that all processes comply with applicable laws and regulations. You work with the external accounting firm for VAT returns and optimizing tax processes.
Process Optimization & Digitization: You improve financial processes and focus on digitization and automation to increase efficiency. Together with IT and other teams, you optimize reporting tools and monitor KPIs for better financial insights.
Strategic Sparring Partner: You are more than a number analyst; you are a strategic partner for the business. Project managers and other teams rely on your financial insights and advice. You optimize internal reporting and actively contribute to the further professionalization of our financial department. Your expertise helps management with strategic decisions and investment plans.
In this role, you report directly to the Team Leader Accounting, Tax & Controlling.
Is this your professional zodiac sign?
You are fascinated by renewable energy and want to constructively contribute your own part to it.
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a related field.
You have at least 10 years of work experience in a similar position.
You have excellent knowledge of accounting concepts and financial reporting (BE GAAP).
You are strong with numbers and can work excellently with MS Excel and financial models.
You are accurate, critical, and analytically minded.
You have experience with budgeting, forecasting, and process optimization.
Knowledge of consolidation and taxation is a plus.
You are a team player and strong communicator who enjoys working with various stakeholders.
You are fluent in Dutch and have a good knowledge of English. Knowledge of French is an asset.
