Process Development engineer

Starting from thorough scientific and technical knowledge, you contribute to the start-up of new production processes and improvement and monitoring of existing processes. You are responsible for:

• End-to-end method responsibility, starting with method development up to method validation and transfer into a quality control organization.
• Technology transfer, initial process validation and process control strategy definition for introduction of new products and processes at manufacturing scale
• Support analytical activities for product characterization, transfer and process improvements for products in late development, next-generation, or commercial phase.
• Designing and conducting lab experiments to achieve successful small-scale model transfer and generate reports of conducted experiments and a comprehensive data package for model qualification. Identify and drive small scale process improvements to increase model fit to large scale process.
• Identification of process improvements to increase yield or process robustness
• Investigational support for product and process, generation of scientific/technical study protocols and report. Impact assessment upon signification deviations in the analytical methods, production process and providing technical/scientific expertise.

What we expect from you

• PhD or master in Life Sciences, preferably with relevant experience of minimum 3 to 5 years respectively in process development
• Experience in mammalian cell culture processes on lab- and/or manufacturing scale
• Experience with protein purification processes
• Oral and written fluency in Dutch and English given the international context
• Enthusiastic about conducting small-scale studies in a lab environment
• Team player
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving mindset, accurate with the necessary eye for detail
