Electrician 5 shifts

VPK Group produces cardboard packaging and paper based on recycled fibers. This sustainable packaging is developed tailored to the customer. VPK Paper is a separate business unit within VPK Group. This business unit manufactures some 530,000 tons of paper for packaging purposes each year from 100% recycled paper and cardboard and has 3 paper machines in Oudegem (Dendermonde).

Function

As a repair technician, you are responsible for the optimal electrical functioning of our paper machines. In doing so, you play an essential role in our production process. Your tasks are as follows:

• Checking and repairing the electrical installations in 5 shifts.
• After analyzing the failure you take action to solve the failure as soon as possible. This includes: assembling electrical components, testing the proper functioning of components, reading electrical schematics to be able to solve complex problems, smaller works in the field of measurement and control technology, Pneumatics & Hydraulics.
• Supporting, if necessary, the shift mechanic in carrying out mechanical work.

Profile

• You have at least an A2 diploma in an electrical field.
• Experience in electricity of industrial installations is a must.
• You are eager to learn and flexible and show great interest in the paper industry.
• You want to work in the 5-shift system
