Application Owner: Bridge the Gap Between Business and IT at NMBS

Your Role
As an Application Owner, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of NMBS / SNCB applications, ensuring they deliver maximum value to the business. This dual-focused role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Application Portfolio Optimization: Strategically manage and monitor your application portfolio to optimize performance, continuity, and integration with other systems.
Problem Management: Investigate and suggest improvements to fix identified problems.
Business Alignment: Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to understand their needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and align application strategies accordingly.
Project Delivery: Prioritize changes, manage resources, and coordinate with teams to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.
Functional analysis: Gather business requirements and translate them into functional analysis
Documentation Management : make sure the functional documentation is kept up to date
Knowledge Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for both IT and business teams regarding your application portfolio.
Job Requirements
Your Skills and Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in application management, combining support and portfolio management responsibilities.
Strong understanding of software packages and ITIL framework.
Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle) is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Dutch, French and English.
Problem-solving mindset, organized, and stress-resistant.
Experience as a functional analyst is a plus.
