4TVI, part of the 4VI Group, is looking for a Director, Regional Stewardship. This position is responsible for managing the projects that support communities and tourism businesses in the Vancouver Island Region. Overview of the Position:
The Director, Regional Stewardship, is the strategic link between the work being done to support First Nations, tourism businesses, and communities in the Vancouver Island
Region, Destination British Columbia, and other key tourism industry partners. The
director will be responsible for implementing the strategic plan for all program areas
within the shared cost agreement between 4TVI and the Crown. They will also be the
leader of the engagement and communications of 4TVI to partners, rightsholders, and
stakeholders in the Vancouver Island Region and across the province.
4TVI seeks an individual with an in-depth understanding of the tourism industry in British Columbia with a keen interest in finding unique and innovative ways to sustainably grow and measure beyond the bottom line. This role demands a high degree of collaboration, leadership, and innovation, as the director will work closely with various teams to design and implement solutions that align with 4TVI and the 4VI Group.

What you offer 4VIGroup:
● A minimum of 5-7 years in a role that requires strategic leadership in tourism
management and stewardship
● Post-secondary education in a relevant field such as tourism management,
sustainability, marketing, business administration, or an equivalent combination of
education and experience
● Experience in communications and engagement either through education or work
experience
● In-depth knowledge of the Vancouver Island Region
● In-depth knowledge of the provincial and national tourism industry structure
● Demonstrated experience in progressively more senior roles
● A high degree of sensitivity in dealing with the public, staff, board, rightsholders,
and stakeholders
● Ability to maintain an up-to-date budget and forecast ability to read and evaluate
financial statements and reports
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including the ability to present
to large groups and write complex reports
● Excellent people skills, with a noted ability to build relationships that are respectful
and highly collaborative
● Ability to present to large groups, senior government officials, and board members
with ease
● An ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities with a high degree of
organizational skill
● A preference for working in a team environment, with a great deal of flexibility and
self-management
● Ability to inspire and motivate, influence strategic decision-making and effectively
manage conflicts and foster consensus
● Able to travel, including use of personal vehicle
● Ability to uphold and embody the core values of 4VI Group
● A keen interest in contributing to a thriving team culture

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000
