About the role: We are currently searching for a candidate who can drive strategic planning and execution within the Oncology Outcomes Research (O2R) team. The O2R team leads real-world evidence and outcomes research strategy and execution within the global and US medical organization. This PM role requires interface at tumor level and asset-indication level with the cross-functional teams across OBU, both with Global and US Organizations. The role would include project oversight, budget management, medical planning support, cross-functional coordination and operational support to the O2R Teams. This role would report directly to the Director, Evidence Generation, Publications and Partnerships within Innovation, Strategy & Operations in OBU Medical and would work closely with the O2R Tumor leads and their respective Asset and Indication leads. Accountabilities/responsibilities Ensures efficient functioning of the O2R teams and connectivity with Medical Implementation Team (MIT) and Integrated Business Team (IBT) (enabling cross-functional collaboration with the asset / indication) Partners with other MIST PMs supporting Global Medical tumor and asset teams to ensure alignment and appropriate inclusion of support. Facilitates initiation of RWE study contracts, HCP contracts, POs, and updating relevant internal systems and process from study start to completion Facilitates O2R teams in knowledge management with ensuring compliance in the organization of documents in relevant internal systems Leads effective meeting management of O2R teams with clear agendas, concrete action items and tracking of results stored in MS TEAMS or SharePoint sites Partners with the O2R Tumor Lead to help shape RWE portfolio strategy and tracks on execution of these RWE studies; facilitates O2R budget planning including forecasting, phasing and prioritization across the business planning cycle as well as rollup into Long Range Plans (LRPs) Co-ordinates and partners with O2R teams to lead certain initiatives such as RWE Workshops with cross-functional partners, management of rapid medical insights requests, preparation of presentations and communications on key topics and initiatives, etc. Partners with O2R teams in managing key O2R deliverable such as development of O2R RWE Strategic and Tactical Plan and integration of this within the Annual Medical Plans, Evidence Generation plans Responsible for keeping track of O2R metrics and KPIs and help in internal and external communications around O2R team successes Coordinates with new EGP2 employee’s manager to onboard and assist in oversight around training records, compliance with other AZ business processes Accountable for implementation of medical standards to ensure compliant functioning of the organization Continuously strives for improvement on ways of working to share best practices to streamline and simplify the business processes May be assigned special projects, initiatives, workstreams by the Global Portfolio Director, EGP2. Required experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in pharmaceutical industry Minimum of 2 years experience in Medical Affairs, Commercial and R&D (Global, regional, or local) Understanding of the development and commercialisation of pharmaceutical products Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment Experience working in a global setting, managing customers within different time zones Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives Preferred Requirements: Graduate level degree in sciences or business degree Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is a plus but not required Depth of understanding of medical, scientific and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Skilled in process development and implementation, organizational effectiveness, and communication Able to deliver high quality work outputs despite ambiguity or a constantly evolving environment Delivery focus with an ability to be responsible for and manage multiple project results in very short timelines Interpersonal skills with an ability to display a variety of leadership styles dependent upon the situation Evidence of the ability to pull together diverse teams over whom they have no line management responsibility in a matrix environment (i.e. Ability to influence and drive for results) Demonstrated knowledge and very wide understanding of global business context An excellent communicator; evidence of strong independence and innovative seeker of strategic solutions; forward looking Great People want to Work with us!
