Vendor Coordinator

Our Construction group is hiring a Vendor Coordinator for our Project team. The position will support and manage the coordination of vendor partner communications and processing of vendor services in Ingleside, TX.

What will you be doing?

• Act as the primary contact for vendor partners
• Review existing contracts to confirm budget is available to cover vendor support requirements
• Develop scope of work with Commissioning experts and Engineers
• Contact vendors to obtain service rates and/or budgetary proposal
• Review schedules to confirm vendor requirements,
• Expedite change orders through procurement
• Coordinate vendor support activities including resource planning, mobilization scheduling and logistic requirements
• Work with the planners to proactively identify issues and potential solutions.
• Create central contracts with the most qualified vendor available, based on site requirements, location, history, current workload and cost
• Liaise with construction/commissioning/start up and project management in planning vendor requirements
• Identify and offer cost effective solutions to both Aker Solutions and client.

We think you should have:

• Engineering Technology diploma and a minimum 8 years of experience as a Vendor Coordinator. or
• An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
