Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will oversee kitchen operations, menu planning, and food preparation to ensure high-quality cuisine for our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative menus and recipes that align with the restaurant's culinary direction as well as catering menus for the hotel meeting and event space
- Supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage inventory, ordering, and budget control for the kitchen
- Manage food and labour costs
- Collaborate with management to plan special events and promotions
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Experience in menu development and cost control
- Previous experience supervising kitchen staff is preferred
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
