Position Summary:
Alpha Controls is currently seeking a Field Service Technician for calibrating and validating a variety of instrumentation on-site at our customer’s facilities, as well as in our Markham lab. Using your knowledge and proper handling techniques, you will work on a broad range of instrumentation such as temperature/humidity probes and measuring devices, data loggers, multimeters, gauges, calibrators, etc.
What you will be doing:
· Perform calibrations, troubleshoot and service a variety of instrumentation in the process & HVAC industries
· Provide on-site validation – temperature mapping of warehouses, incubators, fridges, freezers, etc.
· Start up and commissioning
· Prepare and execute protocols and issue final reports
· Provide and maintain exceptional service to our customers with outstanding quality of service and communication
· Follow all safety procedures and practices at all times
· GTHA vs rest of Canada – 80/20
Education and Experience:
Instrumentation Technology Diploma or equivalent experience a must!
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in calibration/service
· Have experience and knowledge of temperature & humidity mapping

· Effective troubleshooting skills in solving technical issues
· Strong verbal/written communication skills and computer skills
· Demonstrate initiative, able to work independently, and be self-motivated
· Excellent customer service – outgoing, friendly, team player, positive attitude
· Organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task
· Ability to deal clearly, concisely, and effectively with customers and co-workers
· Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
