Summer Student - General Labourer

The General Labourer works mainly in the production area assembling and fabricating guarding panels, packing orders and general labourer responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ability to read CAD drawings
• Fabrication and assembly of guarding panels for orders (lifting up to 100 lbs)
• General housekeeping duties
• Use of power tools such as mill/drill, chop saw, framing nailer
• Flexible to work extended hours
• Perform monthly and ad hoc count of products and maintenance of inventory levels
• Take ownership and constantly look for ways to improve production and safety performance
• All other duties as required

Experience, Education and Designations:

• Ability to use sound judgment and aptitude to problem solve
• Previous experience driving fork truck in a manufacturing setting is an asset
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Types: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
