Summary Job Description
Reporting to the Regional Director, the Eastern Ontario District Manager is responsible for optimizing store performance by maintaining communication between the headquarters and the stores. Through leadership, they must ensure the mobilization and engagement of store managers and their employees.
List of Responsibilities:
Recruit, manage, evaluate, and mobilize the employees under their responsibility.
Lead a team of leaders, motivate, supervise, and develop their leadership as a manager and entrepreneur.
Manage and participate in the training, evaluation, and support process for employees.
Ensure the transmission of information between the administrative center and the stores.
Carry out operational follow-up with the managers: sales, transaction tracking, promotions, policies & procedures, ADT, probation period monitoring, etc.
Validate the transmission and dissemination of important indicator information ensuring the achievement of store sales objectives and establish action plans to achieve them.
Implement strategies and coach managers to optimize store sales, using the tools at their disposal.
Provide recommendations and feedback to their immediate manager to improve customer experience and company growth.
Ensure the protection of Bath Depot’s image, adherence to policies and procedures by managers, and complete necessary documentation: cleanliness, staff presentation, ambiance, visual presentation, signage, price uniformity and accuracy, clean cash register counters, maintenance of premises and assets, such as demos and others.
Prepare and conduct store audits.
Approve schedules, time off requests, and time sheets. Ensure compliance with policies regarding work schedules.
Participate in the planning, establishment, and maintenance of budgets (goals).
Monitor and ensure the accuracy of inventories and various internal controls.
Ensure compliance with and support for various health and safety requirements.
Required qualifications
Hold a university degree in a management-related field (asset).
Previous experience in personnel management (minimum 5 years), preferably in the retail sector.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Bilingualism (an asset), both orally and in writing (English)
