Key Account Manager

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 04

Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 107,000.00 - 135,300.00

What you'll do

  • Develop in-depth and current knowledge of BC Hydro products, programs, services, policies and rate structures

  • Build and maintain customer relationships across a portfolio of key account customers

  • Manage large customers requiring high touch customer service, and some customers with strategic opportunities

  • Interacts throughout customer organizations and maintains relationship with key decision makers

  • Ability to provide strategic planning coordination and advice for customers and BCH

  • Creates and maintains an account portfolio plan with clear customer and portfolio objectives (Customer Satisfaction;
Energy Management program targets; operations, maintenance and safety programs as applicable; and regular account
review)

  • Represent the customer within BC Hydro, to engage customers in programs and offers; to seek timely and reasonable
resolutions to customer issues; to facilitate and lead multiple business units for innovative outcomes to complex customer
situations and issues

  • Strong account level knowledge to share within the BCH organization to support effective resolution of customer issues
and development of strategic customer opportunities

  • Leads and facilitates internal teams across BCH for implementation of customer and BCH driven initiatives

  • Provide feedback regarding internal processes and business practices to make doing business with BCH easier

  • Clearly communicate BCH business strategy and key messages around BC Hydro business goals maintaining a positive
and professional image of the organization

  • Provides peer support and guidance to team members. Provides electricity leadership to customers

What you bring

  • University degree or professional designation or equivalent

  • Five (5) to Seven (7) years sales, marketing or relevant business experience

  • Some technical Demand Side Management knowledge and expertise

  • Superior oral and written skills

  • Excellent leadership capabilities

  • Ability to lead and function effectively as a member of a team

  • Strong marketing and sales ability and strong strategic and visionary abilities

  • Effective negotiating skills

  • Good common-sense business judgment, and the confidence and energy to deal regularly with customers on sensitive
issues

  • Committed to being a leader in energy conservation and energy efficiency

Additional Information:

  • This is for Local Government Key Account Manager. Sector is Local Government.

  • A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain a class 5 drivers license in good standing

  • Key Account portfolios are assigned to Key Account Managers and are changed intermittently

  • At this time, the successful candidate is expected to start in the Government and/or Commercial portfolio of accounts,
representing many millions of dollars in revenue to BC Hydro, as well as key stakeholder engagement and customer
relationship priorities
