Hours: 4-6 hour shifts between the hours of 8:00am-10:00pm

About Bench Brewing:

Bench Brewing is an experiential craft brewery located in the world-renowned wine region of Niagara, Ontario. Surrounded by Ontario’s finest agricultural land, our location provides the ideal setting for crafting great, approachable beers that reflect our local terroir.

The Bench Brewing campus sits across eight beautiful acres and features a 50hL brewing system, a tap and tasting room, a beer garden, a ‘funk house’ for our wild ale and barrel fermentation program, and our very own hops field. Our brewery is a place for our guests to relax, learn, and experience the craft of brewing beer.

Shifts:

Monday to Sundays (Part-Time); available shifts are dependent on our packaging needs and can vary from week-to-week. Hours are not guaranteed and shift days are subject to change.

The Role:

The Packaging Hand is a member of our Production team, and is responsible for packaging operations including but not limited to canning, bottling, and kegging beer, performing cellar duties, cleaning and sanitizing packaging equipment.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Work on the canning and bottling line packaging beer efficiently and safely
• Consistently follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and beer specifications
• Cellar task work (as required)
• Keg filling and cleaning
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies
• Properly clean all packaging tools and equipment, ensuring the brewery and packaging area operates in a clean and orderly fashion
• Adhere to the food safety required as per job duties and report non-conformities
• Responsible for following safety protocols

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for long periods of time
• Frequently move cases of beer or kegs weighing up to 30lbs
• Spend time in warehouse with variable temperatures and humidity levels; hearing protection required (provided)
