The Brant County SPCA is a not-for-profit charitable organization that serves Brantford and Brant County. We have been providing animal welfare and sheltering services for over 50 years. The mission of the Brant County SPCA is dedicated to all animals through prevention, promotion, and protection. About the Position

This position reports to the Director of Animal Care: the primary responsibility of the Customer Experience Team Member is to ensure that everyone that engages with the Brant County SPCA has the optimum customer experience. This is a role for someone who loves people AND animals, who sees the bigger picture, and knows what it takes to engage people in a meaningful way. This role requires a high level of enthusiasm, hospitality, and a passion for getting things done. This role is essential to deliver a positive lasting impression with each engagement.

Responsibilities:

· Performing such tasks as outlined in the Brant County SPCA standardized procedures and protocols;

o Supporting the coordination, administration, and execution of all programs, events, and services

o Responsible for opening and closing

o Providing customer service in person and on the phone

o Complete and maintain lost and found reports

o Logging in and tracking animals entering and leaving the Brant County SPCA

o Providing guidance and paperwork to those using our services

o Order, receive, and maintain supplies

o Data entry, record keeping, and filing

· Financial duties:

o daily reconciliations and bank deposits;

o receipting donations; adoptions; and other purchases

o collecting fees including cash transactions, Debit/Credit Cards, etc.

· Other duties as assigned by Management

Working Conditions

· Position involves lengthy periods of sitting

· Individual may be required to lift up to 23kg

· The incumbent must be aware of unexpected circumstances and have the capability for dealing with unexpected animal or human behaviour

· Required to work with various species of animals

· Work will include weekend shifts

Experience and Qualifications

· Post-Secondary Education in Office Administration, or equivalent in experience an asset

· Animal Handling experience an asset

· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

· Police Clearance Certificate is required and must be maintained
