Position Objective

Efficient and accurate movement of product in compliance pursuant to safety and food regulations, company operating standards and key performance objectives.

What you will do in a typical day:

  • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with company operating standards for SOP, pallet building, safety, food safety, pre-work inspections, etc.
  • Follow customer and business loading and picking instructions on invoice/ manifest while; picking orders and stock, wrapping goods, and stacking goods for trucks to pickup on time.
  • Ensure accuracy against business operating procedures and customer invoices while; loading and unloading product, picking, labeling, and allocating product.
  • Ensure product integrity throughout the process of loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, storage and picking.
  • Ensure unit cleanliness in compliance with operating and food safety standards in advance of loading.
  • Provide management with any errors to make corrections in compliance with company procedures, policies, practices and regulations.

What you will need to succeed at Burnac: At minimum, you will need:

  • Valid, electric equipment operating license
  • Pallet building knowledge
  • Warehouse/Distribution experience,
  • Ability to lift 22kg floor to waist, waist to shoulder and above-shoulder
  • Knowledge of pallet truck, wrapper machine
  • Ability to pull, bend, twist and climb each shift
  • Ability to walk and stand each shift
  • Ability to work in a cold environment
  • Fresh produce experience considered to be an asset
