The Outside Facilities Maintenance role is responsible for the upkeep and repair of facility grounds and outdoor equipment to maintain a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment. This includes performing seasonal tasks, inspections, and minor repairs, as well as collaborating with the maintenance team and contractors as needed.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Wage: $25.00/hour

YOU WILL:
  • Perform seasonal property care (e.g., snow removal, landscaping, etc.) to ensure safety and appearance standards are met year-round.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property and equipment, recommending repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Document all inspections and perform preventative maintenance on outdoor machinery and facility grounds.
  • Safely operate motorized vehicles and equipment, including tractors, skid steers, backhoes, and plows, as required.
  • Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment. Ensure all receiving documentation is appropriately processed.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to extend their lifespan and reliability.
  • Handle basic repair tasks, assist team members with maintenance needs, and oversee contractors as required to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed safely, adhering to company safety policies and standards for waste reduction, quality, and timely completion.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts across the facility by identifying areas for enhancement and proposing solutions to the Team Lead.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from debris, throughout tasks and at the end of each shift.
  • Provide support to other maintenance team members as needed across the facility.

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Valid G driver’s license
  • DZ/AZ license is an asset.
  • Proficient with heavy outdoor equipment (e.g., tractors, backhoes, plows, skid steers) and motorized tools (e.g., pumps, chainsaws, wood chippers).
  • Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting abilities. Experience with hand and power tools and a basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and endure prolonged standing, walking, and physically demanding tasks.
  • Able to respond swiftly to changing conditions and work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions:
  • Regular lifting, moving, and manipulating of heavy objects
  • Extended periods of standing and strenuous physical activities.
  • Regular exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and dust
  • Potential hazards associated with outdoor work; adherence to PPE requirements is mandatory.
