Responsibilities
As Administrative Assistant, you will be working directly with the Executive Director of Camp STEAM all summer. As such, your duties and responsibilities will include the following:
- Conducting online research using various search engines and websites
- Working on projects that are challenging and rewarding
- Being available at all times during work hours to communicate with the Executive Director
- Demonstrating professionalism, a positive attitude, thoughtfulness and stability in decision-making
- Being a self-starter and able to work independently without direct supervision
- Being self-confident and able to accept and adopt constructive feedback
- Abiding by Camp STEAM policies and procedures; and
- Carrying out other reasonable duty requests from any member of the Management Team
Successful Candidates Should Possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Inspirational and creative thinking skills
- Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems
- Adequate internet bandwidth to conduct video conferencing
- Teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to take initiative
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to adapt to change
- The ability to anticipate problems and opportunities, and develop effective solutions
- Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work from home in a quiet environment
- Applicants must be Canadian Citizens and/or Permanent Residents
Hourly Wage / Term
$18.55/hr / 8-week contract (July 2, 2024 to August 23, 2024)
Job Types: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 weeks
Pay: $18.55 per hour to a maximum of 35 hrs/week
