Join Canada Heavy Equipment College (CHEC), a recognized educational institution under the Ministry of Colleges, and Universities. As a leading provider of on-site heavy equipment and AZ/DZ training to Municipal Public Works departments and Construction companies nationwide, we're seeking skilled PART-TIME/CONTRACT Heavy Equipment Instructors to join our team.

If you possess expertise in operating the following equipment – Motor Grader / Plow, Snowplow, Front End Loader, Tractor Loader Backhoe, Excavator, or Bulldozer – we're eager to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct on-site heavy equipment training programs for Municipal Public Works and Construction company personnel across Canada.
  • Instruct on safe and efficient work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Travel nationwide to deliver concise, on-site heavy equipment training sessions ranging from two days to a full week.
  • Identify and communicate safety concerns via training sessions, site inspections, and assessments.
  • Administer tests, evaluate student performance, and grade accordingly.
  • Contribute to the development of new training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of diversified experience operating multiple heavy equipment machines.
  • AZ/DZ license would be an asset.
  • Possession of relevant certifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
  • Prior experience in Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) instruction is considered an asset.
  • Instructional or supervisory background preferred.
  • Competency in utilizing laptops and projectors for teaching, record-keeping, and time management.
