Employees are required to work on-site at a CRA-approved location a minimum of three days per week or 60% of their regular monthly work schedule. Individual exceptions may be granted based on individual circumstances and the nature of the work being performed.
Some positions may require employees to be physically on site at Winnipeg Tax Centre up to 100% of their scheduled work hours.
What is the intent of this process?
This staffing process will be used to staff various full-time positions at the Winnipeg Tax Centre located at 66 Stapon Road, Winnipeg, MB. You can expect that all initial job offers will be temporary contracts generally ranging from 3-months to 1 year in duration, with the possibility of further extensions. Although there will be no permanent employment from this staffing process, this is a great opportunity within CRA.
Language Requirements
For English Essential positions, candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to work in English.
For Bilingual Imperative positions, candidates must be bilingual and be able to demonstrate their ability to work in English and French. Your language proficiency will be assessed on the Public Service Commission's Second Language Evaluation (SLE) curriculum.

Required
Our services and jobs cover a wide range of opportunities. Various positions will be filled from this staffing process, many of which are in a high volume, production based office environment. Prior tax knowledge is not required and paid training will be provided. Some of the duties you may be required to perform may include:
Most positions require the use of various computer systems and programs, including but not limited to Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Word and/or Excel.

Persons living in Canada and Canadian citizens and permanent residents living abroad;

Individuals with preferred status who live or work within the general rule of minimum distance of the position(s) being staffed.
Preference for appointment will be given to veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
Please note that this process will be used to staff positions in Winnipeg, Manitoba only. If you are a candidate from the general public, you will have to pay for any expenses related to your participation in this staffing process, as well as any relocation costs if you receive an offer of employment from this process.
Qualified members and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces who receive an offer of employment are not entitled to relocation costs from the CRA. They may, however, be entitled to a final relocation from the Department of National Defence.
