The opportunity
  • Provides oversight and supervision for the supply chain coordinators and point of escalation in the event of deviation from the plan.
  • Reviews, develops and implements supply chain coordinator processes to ensure they meet the needs of Canpotex’s evolving the supply chain.
  • Collaborates with various internal and external stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure efficient movement of potash as it relates to Inland Operations.
  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of the train schedule. Revise the train schedule to ensure the product is delivered to the ports within the necessary timeframe while meeting the needs of our shareholders.
  • Responsible for preparing and presenting the quarterly business reviews and railway performance presentations including analyzing the data and developing the presentation.
  • Reviews current inland operational processes and company policies to help enhance workflow and create efficiencies.
  • Builds and maintains positive business relationships with mine sites, railways, terminals and other businesses and customers stakeholders.
You have
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Science, Applied Science, Business or a related field.
  • Minimum five to seven years of relevant work experience in a supply chain or operations management role.
  • Computer skills to maintain databases and spreadsheets to produce accurate reports and analyze large quantities of data.
  • Experience with supply chain modelling, financial modelling and data mining is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
You bring
  • Strong analytical, decision making and negotiating skills with ability to make executive decisions in short time frames and with limited information.
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work non-traditional business hours.
