As the on-call Administrative Coordinator in the Criminal Network Section, you will be part of a team that provides administrative support to the section as well as supporting specialized administrative processes related to intelligence-led policing initiatives. Primary duties include:

  • Maintain the integrity of specialized police information systems utilized across the Calgary Police Service and update information related to criminal activity.
  • Sort and digitize historical records to comply with retention standards.
  • Coordinate specialized police programs including Law Enforcement Justification, Out of Province Special Constable programs and processes, and the covert driver¿s licence and vehicles program.
  • Maintain the Specialized Police Information System Maintenance and Entry, this includes ACIIS (Automated Criminal Intelligence Information System), and CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre).
  • Coordinate Target Selection Committee Meetings and associated documentation.
  • Book boardrooms and facilitate meeting agendas; transcribe and distribute minutes and follow up on action items as required.
  • Maintain of Witness and Source Protection documents onto Sentry.
  • Organize incoming and outgoing mail, couriers and deliveries.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalency (i.e. G.E.D.) plus job related coursework, and a minimum of 5 years¿ experience in an office environment including 3 years in a policing environment.
  • Experience with the CPIC (Canadian Police Information Centre) is required.
  • Experience in completing information security classification of documents and an excellent understanding of document control of classified documents is required.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office is required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ACIIS would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and ability to focus on results. Provide excellent customer service and ability to maintain confidentiality. Relationship and team building skills to help in employee engagement, efficiency and thoroughness with the ability to manage stress levels effectively.
Pre-employment Requirements
  • An enhanced security clearance and pre-employment polygraph will be conducted.
  • Ability to obtain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.

Compensation: Pay Grade 7 $33.33 - 44.60 per hour
Days of Work: On-call shifts vary based on operational
requirements.
