Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. This position requires a valid commercial driver's license and experience operating heavy equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload cargo using forklift or other appropriate equipment
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic automotive repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with experience operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge of freight transportation regulations and procedures
- Familiarity with basic automotive repair and maintenance
- Ability to operate a forklift or other relevant equipment
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Good communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of loading/unloading cargo
