Service Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a SERVICE ASSISTANT

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day repair centre bookings, quality control check-outs, and initial chassis check-ins. This position will require someone ready and able to work both inside and outside, in all weather conditions. Candidate must be detail oriented and reliable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with the service process, focusing on safety, work order management and effective customer communication while ensuring compliance with Collins’s Quality and Customer Service Commitment
• Create service work orders including managing service work in progress, maintaining and archiving service work orders and job files
• Delivering prompt, courteous and professional customer service
• Accountable for correct, legible and quality service reports and paperwork
• Prepare paperwork, check out new production and repairs and schedule delivery
• Other duties assigned as operationally necessary

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Related industry experience is a strong asset
• Knowledge of quoting repair options and repair structure and job set up
• Ability to learn and understand mechanical concepts

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Willing to train the right candidate with the desire to learn
• Exposure to quality control methods and protocol
• Valid Driver’s license (Class 5), Air endorsement an asset.

Compensation is negotiable and will be based on prior experience and your ability and attitude to do the job. Company benefit package is 100% employer paid.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
