Summer Student - Maintenance Landscaper

Community Living Greater Sudbury fosters meaningful living for all people with developmental disabilities.

Community living is looking for energetic, motivated and career- minded maintenance assistant. This is a summer student position.

You will be responsible for assisting our maintenance department in grounds keeping and facilities upkeep. This role is primarily responsible for the daily care and upkeep of the exterior of our properties and grounds including grass cutting, gardening, care and upkeep of walkways, ramps, decks as well as assisting our maintenance team as a spotter and assistant on projects. A great job if you love to be outside and on the go, are self motivated and comfortable using grounds keeping-equipment, have attention to detail and are friendly and have a conscientious manner.

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a post secondary degree

• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions on uneven ground, bending, lifting, working, walking - comfortable around adults with developmental disabilities
• Trustworthy, positive, works independently, reliable, honest, hardworking, timely, service oriented, good customer service skills, helpful, friendly. behaviours is an asset or related experience

Community Living offers comprehensive training and appropriate safety equipment.

Work Hours:

The hours of work are scheduled Monday to Friday, day shift, 40 hours bi-weekly.
