The School of Health & Life Sciences is currently seeking a qualified professional as a Part-time Curriculum Developer for a new:
Public Health Nursing Graduate Certificate program
Health Promotion & Chronic Disease Management Graduate Certificate program
The successful applicant will work in collaboration with curriculum development team members and carry out duties related to the curriculum development. No prior curriculum development experience is required as Conestoga provides supports and training.
Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate and build relations with other Curriculum Developers, the Nursing program team, and supporting department services
Attend training and relevant meetings as required
Develop course outlines for multiple courses, including course topics and outcomes, and evaluation matrix
Review and source course resources such as textbooks, etc.
Develop all course content, such as PowerPoint slides, detailed assessments, rubrics, teaching materials and activities and weekly lesson structures
Qualifications:
Degree in Nursing, Health Promotion, and/or Public Health
Minimum two years of relevant experience working in Health Promotion or Public Health
Knowledge and experience using course/learning management systems (i.e., D2L), curriculum development and/or adult learning methodologies is considered an asset
Strong computer skills and demonstrated experience incorporating relevant technologies in the field
Excellent interpersonal, intercultural, and collaborative skills
Flexible with strong organizational skills
Ability to communicate professionally (verbal and written) with program team and other stakeholders
Strong commitment to ensuring student success
Excellent interpersonal skills with a flexible approach to problem-solving
