Confluence Distilling is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, creative individual to fill our Marketing Coordinator position. Experience in this field is an asset but not a requirement. We're looking for a candidate that is invigorated by being a part of our fast-growing, award-winning micro-distillery. The Marketing Coordinator role is ideal for someone who is interested in a career in visual media creation and/or digital marketing. This position will work directly with our marketing manager and marketing consultant agency. They will be expected to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate enjoys photography, market research, multi-tasking and has immaculate attention to detail. Preference will be given to those with relevant work or educational experience. As a small company, the Marketing Coordinator will be involved in many roles and will be expected to complete tasks that are not limited to their core responsibilities..

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with development and execution of marketing strategies
  • Develop content for digital and traditional marketing
  • Manage, update and maintain all website content and SEO
  • Engagement and communication with our digital marketing platforms
  • Create and coordinate blog content
  • Maintain Confluence's creative asset portfolio
  • Develop and design promotional materials for sales and events teams
  • Triage website communications
  • Perform market research into trends, competition, events, etc.
  • Track and analyze marketing driven statistics
  • Apply for and manage marketing & promotional events such as farmers markets, spirit competitions, conventions, cocktail competitions, cultural events, and community relationship building activities.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the products or services offered by our company to effectively communicate features and benefits to customers.
  • Participate in promotional activities or events to attract customers and generate interest in products or services.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Adobe Suite or other equivalent design platforms is an asset
  • Experience creating media content for businesses is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, communications, fine arts or related field is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS office suite or Google Drive suit
  • Experience in marketing research and analysis
  • Experience in graphic design
  • Familiarity with website development or management software (i.e. Wix, Wordpress, etc.) or basic HTML/CSS knowledge
  • Understanding of SEO and digital marketing platforms
  • Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new tools and platforms, especially in AI software.
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Adaptable with change in goals and tasks
  • Demonstrated written communication and editing skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management capabilities
  • Passion for creativity
  • Access to a personal computer

This position may be 35-40hr/week, with an average weekly schedule of 9-5pm Monday to Friday, with the occasional need for evening or weekend work. After the standard probation period, the successful candidate may be permitted to work partially remotely with the expectation to be in the office a minimum 2 days a week.

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
