The John M. Parrott Centre is a fully accredited state-of-the-art, 168 bed long term care home, owned and operated by the County of Lennox and Addington, in the Town of Greater Napanee. The John M. Parrott Centre offers free parking, safe work environment and upgraded technology. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic students for the position of Recreation Facilitator for the summer.
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program in Recreation and Leisure studies, Therapeutic Recreation or Kinesiology

JOB SUMMARY:

• Developing, preparing, facilitating and documentation programs with residents and working with volunteers
• Must be in good physical condition
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
• Continuing education is an expectation
• Satisfactory attendance record, subject to the requirements of the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Registered or intends to return to full-time post-secondary education during the next academic year

Regulated Safety Activities: Must adhere to all service area policies and procedures as outlined in WHMIS, Infection Control, Fire, Health and Safety, and other manuals and legislation
Employees must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as well as proof of a third shot - booster (i.e. received the total number of required doses of vaccine approved by Health Canada) or an approved exemption for preclusion from immunization as a condition of employment.
