Community Support Worker

We are looking to hire a casual relief staff

Location: Creston and Creston Valley B.C.

Pay: $25.95/hr

Company Overview:

Cresteramics provides support to adults with developmental disabilities in the Creston Valley. We have 20 programs for the individuals we support at our main building and our retail store which boasts items from around 30 local artists. Programs are a combination of lifelong learning, community inclusion, recreation, and employment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Criminal record search and first aid - that the expense will be covered by the organization if necessary
• Direct supervision of adults with disabilities in a variety of locations and programs
• Work within a team to organize and implement programs
• Occasionally required to drive company vehicles to transport individuals and/or pick up supplies
• The most successful people for this job get joy from helping others
• Must provide proof of COVID vaccinations as per Public Health Officer directive

Skills and Experience:

• Customer service or sales experience is an asset
• A valid BC driver's license and a clean driving record
• Valid First Aid / CPR certification
• Experience in personal support, positive attitude, empathy, willingness to learn, problem solving, attention to detail an asset

Pay: From $25.95 per hour
