Crieff Hills Retreat Centre provides opportunities for rest and renewal to both groups and individuals from all walks of life. Located on an historic 250-acre farm, facilities include a dining room, meeting rooms, three lodges and four retreat houses as well as private retreat suites. The new farm manager will work closely with the Head Chef to offer guests beautiful food while expanding production over the next three years using permaculture and environmentally beneficial practices. Includes small-scale maple syrup production, beekeeping, vegetable production, small flock of sheep and chickens. It is the perfect role for someone who is an organized big-picture thinker, loves to try new things and has experience with the challenges of running a small farm. Compensation:
· From $50 000 annually based on experience

Key responsibilities:
· Food production in current growing areas (approx. 1½ acre)
· Creating and executing 3-year plan to expand farm capacity using new 4 acre site
· Daily care and long-term stewardship of livestock (Soay sheep, chickens, quail, honeybees)
· Leading farm tours and participating in onsite farm events
· Managing produce and egg sales (market, roadside, website)
· Fence, waterline, forest and equipment care
· Excellent communication and a commitment to kindness
Qualifications:
· Able to legally work in Canada
· Skilled trade certificate or equivalent
· Minimum 3 years farm experience
· Valid Ontario driver’s license
· Proven leadership and organizational skills
Additional Assets:

· Standard First Aid
· Chainsaw safety certificate
· Experience in foraging
