Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 5 Driver Instructor to join our team. As a Driver Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the necessary skills and knowledge to become safe and confident drivers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals' lives by helping them develop essential driving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Teach students the rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and safe driving practices
- Demonstrate proper driving techniques and maneuvers
- Provide feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their driving skills
for mechanical issues and perform routine maintenance checks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Maintain accurate records for Alberta Transportation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to students
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver Instructor license from Alberta Transportation
- Clean driving record with no recent accidents or traffic violations
- Proven experience as a Class 5 Driver Instructor
- Ability to be patient with new drivers and teach in a calm but effective manner
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and parents
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-teach various parking manoeuvres, safe driving skills and preventative measures to ensure traffic laws are adhered to.
