DIRTT is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Payable Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts payable processes. The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts to support the overall financial health of the organization.

What You'll Do

Invoice Processing:

  • Receive and review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Code and enter invoices into the accounting system with a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors to resolve issues and ensure timely payment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors regarding payment inquiries and discrepancies.

Payment Processing:

  • Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and electronic payments.
  • Verify approvals and documentation for payment processing in compliance with company policies.

Month-End Close:

  • Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Provide support for audits and respond to audit inquiries related to accounts payable.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of the accounts payable function.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices in accounts payable.

What You'll Bring:

  • Education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • While this is an entry-level role, proven experience as an Accounts Payable Analyst or a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is an asset.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel is required; experience using accounting software (e.g. SAGE ERP 500) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
