Job Description
We are looking for experienced manufacturing
Machine Operators to join our client’s team in Smiths Falls, Ontario to be part of a growing operation and team.
What We Offer:
- Salary: $22.08 base pay with additional shift premiums
- Shift: Monday to Friday – Days – 7.30am – 3.30pm / Monday to Friday – Afternoons – 3.30pm – 11.30pm / Monday to Friday – Nights – 11.30pm – 7.30am
- Job Type: Positions are Permanent
- Benefits: Once hired by the company you will be eligible for extensive benefits.
What You'll Do:
- Use of manual chop saw, various pneumatic tools, and hand tools to prepare and assemble the finished product.
- Repetitive movements – bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Read production documents/drawings to ensure that parts are correctly chosen and applied to the assembly process.
- Attention to detail and comprehension of English language to interpret assembly information accurately.
- Operation of forklift and/or lift truck and electric pallet jack as required.
- Check the quality of the work performed.
- Ensure 5S is maintained at your workstation.
- Maintain a Safe work environment.
- Perform other labouring and elemental activities.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Work along side your team to lead by example.
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow basic directions.
