Receptionist

East Oshawa Animal Hospital (EOAH) is seeking a Part Time Client Care Receptionist to join our team! Our practice has been serving the Durham Region since 1955 as a general practice that also offers ultrasound and laser therapy along with a team of RVT’s contributing to help meet the needs of our Dr's and long-standing clients.

As our ideal candidate, you will:

• Be reliable, punctual and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment
• Have afternoon and Saturday availability, with the flexibility to cover vacations and the day shift
• Experienced with client-facing interactions in person, over the phone and via email
• Be a confident communicator with a positive attitude
• Hold experience in an animal care setting.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Communicate effectively with animal owners, vendors and colleagues
• Engage with clients and their pets when they arrive at and leave the clinic
• Proactive to meet the needs of the RVT and DVM
• Schedule and confirm a variety of appointments
• Notify clients when their pet(s) are due for care
• Prepare client invoices and process payments
• Perform daily cash procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the waiting room, reception desk and retail area
• Adhere to accurate record keeping

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 29 per week
