We are searching for a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Specialist to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. Our ideal candidate will have experience using Esri’s GIS software, a familiarity with its tools and processes, and the ability to develop and analyze model outputs. Experience in performing spatial analysis for environmental assessments and habitat modeling will be an asset.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

· Spatial analysis to support client/team projects

· Spatial database management

· Production of mapping to a high standard

· Leading GIS on a wide range of projects

e are looking for someone with:

· Strong and effective time management skills

· Self-motivation and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

· The ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with limited supervision

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities

· Strong cartographic skills

· Able to simultaneously organize and manage tight timelines and multiple priorities

· Experience using ArcGIS Online, Esri Mobile apps – Field Maps and Survey 123 will be an asset

Requirements:

· A minimum of 3 years of work/project experience and B.Sc. degree with a concentration in Geomatics

· Experience using Esri ArcGIS Pro, and use of Esri extension Spatial Analyst

· Demonstrated experience in creating, editing and analyzing digital/spatial data, and producing high quality GIS products (submit portfolio)

· Demonstrated experience using raster and vector data to perform analytical processes

· Familiarity with satellite imagery and remote sensing (i.e., workflows and analyses)

· Demonstrated experience using Python and ModelBuilder to perform spatial analyses

· Experience managing/leading GIS on projects

· Familiarity or experience with AI and R will be considered an asset

The typical compensation range for this position is from $52,000 – $87,000 annually; the compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
