We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to join our team and ensure the successful delivery of projects within our portfolio.

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects within Enbridge’s Major Projects portfolio. This role involves close collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and stewardship for the safe, on-time, on-budget, and on-quality execution of projects.
  • Actively support project development and ensure successful completion of deliverables and services throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Safety and Reliability, Project Sponsor, Project Management, Business Partners, Legal, Regulatory, Supply Chain Management, Public Affairs, Contractors, and Consultants.
  • Develop and communicate timely updates on project status and performance.
  • Track project progress and performance, taking proactive actions to address adverse situations or trends.
  • Identify, manage, and communicate risks through proactive stakeholder engagement.
  • Manage project close-out and turnover to the Business Unit.
  • Provide project management skills and knowledge, holding functional leads accountable for executing their strategy.
  • Direct functional leads for project day-to-day activities and priorities.
  • Identify and execute project solutions for business units that achieve cost reductions without compromising safety, environment, reputation, operations, or quality.
  • Manage project commercial and contractual transactions.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings, stakeholder progress updates, deliverable reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
  • Track service performance, provide feedback, and evaluate change requests.
  • Ensure regulatory approvals and material testing requirements are met.

Scope/Dimensions

  • Safety-critical role with daily activities and decisions impacting the safety of others.
  • Manage operational and capital projects ranging from $1MM to $500MM.
  • Oversee 1-10 projects of varying sizes with complex regulatory and stakeholder requirements.

Contacts (Working Relationships)

  • Collaborate closely with project management and support services to achieve project goals and milestones.
  • Interface with project sponsors, internal stakeholders, vendors, consultants, contractors, and Enbridge operations staff.

Required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a technical diploma from an accredited technical institute, or a minimum of 2 years of project management, engineering management, or construction management experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively complex related experience.
  • Exposure to Engineering, Construction, and Field operations.
  • Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, standards, and specifications.
  • General understanding of pipeline and terminal operations.
  • Ability to predict obstacles, challenges, and risks, and develop mitigation strategies and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
  • Collaborative, team- and service-oriented work style.
  • Motivated self-starter who works well independently in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred

  • Exposure to more than one Engineering discipline.
  • PMP Certification.

Working Conditions

  • Office environment with some fieldwork required.
  • Scheduled travel to operating facilities, construction sites, and manufacturer’s facilities (up to 25%).
  • Availability outside normal work hours to address technical, cost, safety, and environmental issues during active projects.
