Your work environment at EXP

EXP’s Infrastructure & Transportation Practice provides comprehensive planning, design and construction engineering services for all types of roadways, bridge, water resource, rail, transit and aviation projects. With a unique multidisciplinary team approach, we have a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects within the Chicagoland region. We currently are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic CAD Delivery Lead for our Chicago office to help us deliver the CTA’s RLE Design-Build project. You will report to the Civil Department Manager and work in our Chicago office in compliance with our hybrid work policy to help us deliver this exciting and fast paced project.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Work closely with the project team to develop, implement and monitor CAD design standards and procedures to meet the project requirements.
• Work with the project team to solve technical issues, provide needed training and oversight and solve other CAD system and quality issues.
• Identify opportunities and recommendations for increasing workflow efficiencies.
• Recommend best practices for solutions to meet or exceed project requirements.
• Train and supervise CAD users in core application skills and standards.
• Maintain documentation records of generated design deliverables.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization, outside vendors, clients and key project stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation and contracts are in compliance with the standards set forth by the client.

What your experience looks like

• Must have at least 7 years of practical experience.
• Minimum college diploma in related field preferred.
• Must have a strong understanding of AutoCAD, CADWorx, SolidWorks, NavisWorks, and SmartPlant software.
• Experience with 3D CAD development and delivery and rendering capabilities desirable but not required.
• Must have MS Office skills.
• Must have strong people skills, and ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in the engineering marketplace or construction industry is preferred.
