Position: Forklift Operator – Cambridge, Ontario

Position profile:

• We are currently seeking a forklift operator with at least 5 years’ experience for our Cambridge warehouse.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• The Forklift Operator will have daily interaction with drivers, warehouse staff and other operations personnel and report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
• Work in a safe manner at all times.
• Multiple shifts available - Day, Afternoon, and Night.

Responsibilities include:

• Operate lift truck, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods.
• Loading and unloading trucks with forklift into/out of warehouse.
• Stacking and picking of inventory from warehouse floor and racking.
• Moving and storing products around the warehouse.
• Inspect and count items that are received, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain internal record-keeping in our Warehouse Management System
• Perform inventory duties as required.
• Maintain a safe work environment based on company policy.
• Working alongside key personnel to obtain overall company success.

Candidate profile:

• Lift truck operator license with at least 5 years of previous forklift experience.
• Familiarity with computerized Warehouse Management Systems
• Aptitude with numbers to calculate quantities, weights and dimensions
• Basic computer skills
• Detailed oriented, organized and results driven individual with a positive disposition.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with internal employees in warehouse and office.

Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
