This position is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring invoices and expenses are verified, processed and paid in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

What You'll Be Doing

• Responsible for entering Opex and capital invoices into A/P financial system.
• Review and post invoice journals.
• Process weekly payment runs.
• Respond to internal and external customer queries in a timely manner.
• Assist with the Corporate Visa program.
• Reconcile and balance control accounts.
• Assist in the gathering of information for internal/external audits and year end reporting.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for all Accounts Payable software modules and responsibilities included.
• Provide guidance and expertise as required; answering ad hoc questions from the user community.
• Participate in the development of user testing requirements and performing end user testing as required.
• Provide end user support to Finance and BU personnel.
• Participate and may be responsible for special projects as assigned.
• Demonstrate a personal commitment and proactive approach to Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) through participation in all applicable EH&S programs and ensures safe operation of the branch, team or unit and compliance with all Company EH&S policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Bring

• A University Degree, Diploma or Certification in a related field would be an asset.
• 0 - 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role.
• Demonstrates proficiency in software including Windows XP and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to deliver accurate data entry.
• Demonstrates excellent attention to details and accuracy.
• Exhibits a high degree of scrutiny with regards to vendor documents.
• Self-motivated with interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Strong ability to communicate both orally and in written form with internal and external customers.
• Ability to effectively understand and meet department priorities and deadlines.
• Finding efficiencies within individual roles to add value to processes.

Working Conditions

• The majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
